Some places just have a feeling. The Madrona Lakehouse by Stay Madrona is one of them. A warmly curated mid century modern retreat on the quiet shores of Lake Roesiger. Rare privacy for a lake house, with a large wooded lot that buffers you from the world. Private dock, hot tub, canoes, pickleball and more. Wake up to still water and birdsong. Grown up summer camp meets Pacific Northwest modern, equally magical in summer sun or winter fog[

Good to know

The Madrona Lakehouse is one of the most private waterfront properties you will find on any lake in the Pacific Northwest. Wooded and undeveloped on both sides, with a slow moving creek threading through the property near the boathouse, this is the rare lakefront escape where the outside world genuinely disappears. The warmly curated mid century modern interior is the first thing guests notice and the thing they talk about most. The open concept main floor draws you immediately toward the lake through large statement windows that frame the water like a living painting. On cooler evenings the beautiful gas fireplace anchors the main living space with warmth and atmosphere. The updated kitchen and generous dining table make gathering easy and unhurried, the way lake weekends should feel. Downstairs the cozy den has its own gas fireplace anchoring a second living room perfect for movie nights, puzzles, popcorn, and good conversation late into the evening. Sleeping eight comfortably across three bedrooms and two living spaces, the house offers two king bedrooms, one queen bedroom, a queen sleeper sofa in the living room, and a single sleeper sofa in the downstairs den, with two full bathrooms throughout. Outside is where the Madrona Lakehouse truly earns its grown up summer camp reputation. The full sport court handles pickleball and basketball. The expansive private lawn is made for volleyball, badminton, and dogs with room to run. The boathouse and private dock put the lake at your feet, with canoes, a stand up paddleboard, and a pedal boat ready for whenever the mood strikes. When the day winds down, the hot tub and fire pit are waiting. In the warmer months the lawn and lake are the heart of everything. In the cooler months the property transforms into something quieter and equally special: still water, morning mist, the hot tub steaming in the rain, and two fireplaces that earn their keep. High speed Starlink internet throughout makes longer stays and creative retreats as effortless as a summer weekend.

Other Details to Note

The Starlink internet is fast and reliable. The upper bedroom gets early morning light through the windows. We suggest bringing eye masks. We would have added curtains here if we could, but due to the unique window design as well as the frosted glass on the double doors to the room, it just wasn't practical. The home has a three dog max and a fee of $75 per pet. Please enter your pet count along with your guest count when booking. Boating / Water-skiing notes: Water-skiing and motor boating is permitted on Lake Roesiger May 25th - September 25. Hours for waterskiing are from 10:30 am to 5:30 pm. Look up "Lake Roesiger Boating Regulations" for more information on lake rules Lake Roesiger Boat Launch: The boat launch is located on the south end of the lake just off of S lake Roesiger Rd on Middle Shore Rd. Backing your boat into the launch area can be a bit tight, but once there the launch angle is decent and easy to launch your boat. There is a small amount of parking near the launch, but the parking can often be full during busier times. You can leave your truck and trailer parked here for a couple hours, but the expectation is that you would park your trailer back at the house for longer uses. Navigating From Launch To House: The lake is made up of 3 distinct areas: the south lake, middle lake, & north lake. Generally, you will travel from the launch area to the northmost point of the lake. There are two areas to call out. As you travel through the middle lake, it can get pretty shallow in this area. Keep a close watch on the water depth and watch for underwater vegetation. Try to keep to the established path through the vegetation. The other key area is as you transition from middle lake to north lake, there is a narrow passageway that is marked with official raised posts. The water level can get pretty low through this point and there are some rocks to watch out for. It is recommended to raise your prop as much as you can here and go slow. Boat Lift Location: The boat lift is located on the right side of the dock when looking out onto the water and is near the deeper end of the dock. The control box is a white weatherproof enclosure which sits on the dock surface about midway. Boat Lift Operation: To raise or lower the boat lift, open the weather proof enclosure and put the on/off rocker switch into the "ON" position. To lower the lift, press and hold the "LOWER" rocker switch until the lift is in lowered to the desired position. To raise the lift, press and hold the "RAISE" rocker switch until the lift is raised to the desired position. Generally, the lift should be stored in the fully raised, over-center position. Once the lift is in the desired position, put the on/off rocker switch into the "OFF" position. Other Lift Notes: Try to center the boat on the lift side to side by getting help with a 2nd person to hold the boat as you hold the lift switch. Otherwise the boat will be leaning when it is lifted. One suggestion is to pause the lift just as the lift comes into contact with the boat hull. You may need to lower the lift briefly and recenter before raising it again.

We had a wonderful stay at the Madrona Lake House. The property is peaceful, beautiful, and truly feels like a home away from home. Waking up to the lake and surrounding nature was incredibly relaxing. The hosts were thoughtful, responsive, and gave us the perfect balance of privacy and care. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a serene getaway.

We had an amazing stay . The home was spotless and well equipped. Kids spent so much time playing outside . We went there in January , weather was bit cold and rainy. We are planning to come back in summer to enjoy more of the lake.

Very nice location to spend a weekend relaxing. The inside of the home felt very cozy and comfortable for all of the guests, even they doggo. The back yard was very nice and private. Sitting by the lake and seeing the sunset was superb.

Beautiful home on the lake with endless options for entertainment. We loved the basketball court, huge yard and of course the serene lake. We enjoyed our New Year’s Eve there and even saw lots of fireworks. Wilson and Alyce were so accommodating and very communicative. Everything was laid out beautifully and there were so many thoughtful details - games, dog treats + towels, rain jackets. We absolutely loved our stay.. thank you!

The perfect place for a Christmas vacation. We played a ton of games, did a polar plunge from the comfort of the backyard and enjoyed the hot tub. It was perfect. We will be back in the summer to enjoy the pickle ball court, volleyball, paddle boards, fire pit, and the hammocks in the back!
